What the two mutation tiers actually change, roughly how rare they are, and whether hunting early is worth it.

Shiny

A recolor mutation with a modest stat bump. Reasonably rare but obtainable in normal play.

Sparkle

The higher mutation tier — much rarer, stronger stat bump and a particle effect. This is the real chase.

Should you hunt early?

Usually no. A new account gains more from codes, leveling, carries and Level 30 prep before committing sessions to mutation hunting.
